Many electronic documents printed on network laser printers contain sensitive information. While there are many security measures and permissions applied to electronic documents - for example, viewing, forwarding, editing, and printing - once the electronic document is printed, it is nearly impossible to protect the data on the printed page from being read, tampered with, or duplicated by the wrong people. AuthentiGuard® DX serves as a valuable tool to close this loop in document security.
AuthentiGuard® DX is a networked compatible appliance that allows the author of a Microsoft Office document (Outlook, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint) to secure nearly any of its alphanumeric content when it is printed. AuthentiGuard® DX prints your selected content using PrismTM technology so that it cannot be read by the naked eye. Reading the hidden content, or authenticating the document is performed with a proprietary handheld viewing device - the AuthenticatorTM.
